Keynote to EDSS Student Body

Doug will focus on youth in the community and the importance of participation in any community they live in through engaging storytelling.

6:00 p.m.

Community Services Showcase

Community groups and services will showcase opportunities for participants to join or find more information about local services. Booths and free swag will be located in the main gym.

7:00 - 8:30 p.m.

Keynote to Community

Doug will address the community based on 13 Ways to Kill Your Community. The anecdotes are delivered with both wit and wisdom, and in a way that ensures audience members are inspired and confident in their role to make their community successful. Our goal is to find you a renewed sense of ownership and responsibility toward the community you live in.

A Q&A session for interested audience members will take place following the keynote. Snacks available in the lobby.

If you are a group, organization or service club that works with volunteers on community betterment projects, this session is for you.

9:00 a.m. : Facilitated Workshop: Things are about to change.

There's more on the horizon for communities that will disrupt our municipalities and "things are about to change" says Doug Griffiths. Hear about some of the future challenges facing municipalities and how we as a community can prepare for them.

10:30 a.m. : Break - Snack - Chat

Coffee, drinks and a light snack will be provided.

10:45 a.m. : Let's talk about Woolwich.

What are we looking for in our community and how do we achieve that goal? Doug will take participants through a visioning process and a pathway to achieve our collective goals.
